La banda Genesis se forma el año 1967, en Inglaterra. Estuvo en un inicio conformada por Anthony Phillips (guitarra), Mike Rutherford (bajo), Tony Banks (teclados), Peter Gabriel (voz) y Chris Stewart (batería).
