42.0.5. deprivation of special, military or a honorary title and state award;
42.0.6. corrective works;
42.0.7. restriction on military service;
42.0.8. confiscation of property;
42.0.9. forced exile from the Azerbaijan Republic;
42.0.10. restriction of freedom;
42.0.11. maintenance in disciplinary military unit;
42.0.12. imprisonment on the certain term;
42.0.13. life imprisonment.
Como puedes ver, no está la pena de muerte.
Azerbaiyán la suprimió en el año 1998, y en 1999 firmó y ratificó el Segundo Protocolo Facultativo del PIDCP, en el que los países firmantes se comprometen a abolir la pena de muerte. indicators.ohchr.org/
Al adherirse lo hizo con una reserva: se reservaban la posibilidad de aplicar la pena de muerte para ciertos delitos en tiempo de guerra. Aunque en su Código Penal (del año 2000) no ejercían esa posibilidad.

Hay otro tratado, del Consejo de Europa, que prohíbe la pena de muerte en cualquier circunstancia, también en tiempo de guerra. Azerbaiyán la firmó hace dos años:
